Best, best day ever.

The day began with blue skies and big, white, fluffy clouds…tucked away in upstate New York there was no shortage of gorgeous mountains views and greenery. It was the happiest day where my favorite person and I gathered our loved ones, ventured into the mountains and vowed to love, support and cherish each other until the end of our days. Nothing in this world is sweeter than the love between two lifelong lovers, and the cozy cabin vibes at Deer Mountain Inn was the perfect place to share in this happy time!

We chose to have an intimate wedding because for us having no pressure of entertaining or coordinating schedules with a large group was a dream. The outdoorsy-ness fit our personalities and was very significant on a personal level that we were able to share our love for the mountains with our loved ones. Having the ability to spend the weekend enjoying the mountain town of Tannersville and traveling to our favorite waterfall and lake was beyond special. Our favorite moments came from the freedom to enjoy every moment with each other and make memories with our immediate family – I don’t think we would have had those moments had we not decided to have an intimate wedding.

It truly was an adventure that we all shared together and we are so thankful to Amber Gress who captured our day in all it’s glory! Now take a peek into my best. best, day ever…

Venue – It was key to have the ceremony, celebrations & accommodations all in one location to keep the weekend relaxed. Deer Mountain Inn made this possible since they offer all these things on their beautiful 200 acre property. We booked rooms in the Inn and Skylark Cottage which is located a short walk away through the woods. The ceremony was in their garden under a beautiful willow tree – and a family style dinner followed in their private dining room + sundeck. After food,  speeches and lots of wine, we all ventured back to our cottage for a bonfire and dancing under the stars!
