The Great Smoky mountains have been a “bucket list” dream for a while now. I don’t know how in the 29 years of my life it took me this long to experience it! With our recent move to Florida, we took the opportunity to drive south making stops to visit friends and family – all while seeing cities we haven’t seen before. Jumping on and off the Blue Ridge Parkway we saw some pretty awesome nature. I’ve been hearing about the “Yurt” “Glamping” experience lately, and after some google searching discovered Sky Ridge Yurts – a magical place about one hour west of Asheville, North Carolina in the Nantahala National Forest! It was truly a dream experience..the views are spectacular. The drive was very scenic and it we were pleasantly surprised to arrive to such a beautiful property and place to stay – the bed, bathroom and kitchenette was very luxurious! It was truly comfort in the mountains – it was a dream! Not to mention, it was very affordable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an adventure.
